Day 01: Arrive in Johannesburg • Panoramic Orientation Tour of Johannesburg

Welcome to your “Cox & Kings South African Sojourn – Winter 2018” tour! On arrival into Johannesburg, your Cox & Kings Representative greets you at the “meeting point” at the exit after you complete Immigration and Customs. On arrival, check in to the hotel (check-in after 15:00 hours). Evening, proceed for a panoramic orientation tour of Johannesburg. Visit Gandhi Square where Gandhiji had his office, Elise Park Stadium, Nelson Mandela Square and Hillbrow Tower. Tonight enjoy Indian dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Johannesburg.

Day 2: Onto Sun City •Explore Sun City on own

Today, post breakfast proceed to Sun City. Enroute, lunch at an Indian restaurant. Sun City offers a myriad of different entertainment and relaxation opportunities as well as enough attractions and activities to keep everyone busy. Today while at Sun City, you have a chance to enjoy the various activities on offer on your own -- such as Visit to the Casino, Visit to the Bird Aviary, Archery, Jet Ski, Parasailing, Motorboats etc. Visit Valley of the Waves (on own). (if time permitting). Note: Valley of the Waves will be is closed from May-August 2018. The exact dates are still to be advised). Sun City’s world-class water park boasts of activities for all kinds of water fun as per time at hand. Activities in Valley of Waves are at an optional cost & the client has to pay for it. Overnight in Sun City.

Day 3: Onto Knysna •Pilanesberg Game Drive •Enjoy Sunset Cruise

Early morning proceed for Pilanesberg Game Drive to view animals up close in their wild surroundings. After breakfast, depart for Johannesburg for your flight to George. On arrival at George, proceed to Knysna to your conveniently located hotel and check-in. Later, embark on your scenic sunset cruise. Enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant. Overnight in Knysna.

Day 4: In Knysna •Full Day Excursion to Oudtshoorn •Visit Cango Caves •Visit Ostrich Farm •Visit Cheetah Ranch and Crocodile Enclosure

After an American breakfast at the hotel, you will head to Oudtshoorn, which is set in a semi-arid valley. Drive through the Wine lands along the Breede River, Valley to Oudtshoorn – ‘the Feather Capital of the World’. Visit the famous Cango Caves, where the stalactite and stalagmite formations are an incredible sight. Later, proceed to the Ostrich Farm where you can enjoy shows performed by well-trained birds. You also have a chance to ride this magnificent bird and try your luck at breaking an ostrich egg, which is an impossible task. Enjoy Lunch at a local restaurant. Thereafter, drive to ‘Cheetah Ranch’, where you can marvel at the grace and beauty of the world’s fastest animal. Visit Crocodile Enclosure. Continue to Knysna. Tonight enjoy Indian dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Knysna.

Day 5: Onto Cape Town •Enroute, Mossel Bay - Visit Dias Museum Complex and Post – Office Tree

Today, after breakfast depart to Cape Town by road. Enroute, stop at Mossel Bay, a harbour town where you visit the Bartolommeo Dias Museum Complex which is the largest of the museums in Mossel Bay. Enjoy Lunch at a local restaurant. Later visit Post Office Tree - A post box in the shape of an old boot has now been erected under the tree, and the tree declared a national heritage site. Continue your scenic journey to Cape Town. On arrival at Cape Town, you will be transferred to your conveniently located hotel (Standard Check-in time is 1400hrs). Tonight enjoy a delicious dinner at a local Indian restaurant. Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 6: In Cape Town •Visit the Table Mountain •Visit Victoria and Alfred Waterfront •Visit the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden •Visit the Two Ocean’s Aquarium

After breakfast at the hotel, we proceed on an exciting sightseeing tour of this beautiful city with its majestic Table Mountain backdrop. Enjoy a scenic view at the top of Table Mountain Cable Car 3600 (weather permitting) for a panoramic view of the city and coastline. Visit the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Enjoy Lunch at a local restaurant. Later visit the famous Victoria and the Alfred waterfront, one of Cape Town’s biggest tourist attractions where you will also enjoy the Two Ocean’s Aquarium. Also drive past Green Market square, District Six, and company gardens, Houses of the Parliament, the City Hall, the Castle and Slave Lodge. The rest of the day is free! Tonight enjoy an Indian dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 07: In Cape Town •Full Day Tour of Cape of Good Hope •Enjoy Cruise on Hout Bay •Visit the Seal Colony •Visit the Jackass Penguins at Boulders Beach

After American breakfast at the hotel, proceed on an exciting full-day tour to the Cape of Good Hope. We drive via the Ou KaapseWeg and the Atlantic Coast to Cape Point. Here the Atlantic and the Indian Ocean are said to meet. Marvel at the view from the southernmost tip of South Africa. Enjoy Lunch at a local restaurant. Today you enjoy a cruise to Hout Bay to the Seal Colony (weather permitting). We return along the False Bay Coast visiting the Jackass penguins at Boulders Beach. Afterwards, enjoy a short stop at the Simon’s Town. This scenic town is also an important naval base. Enjoy dinner at a local Indian restaurant. Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 08: Homeward Bound

After a breakfast at the hotel, depart to Cape Town airport for your flight back home via Johannesburg. Good times need never end! As you get ready for the airport and your flight back home, relive the high points of your ‘Cox & Kings South African Sojourn – Winter 2018” tour. We are confident you will join us again, sometime soon…

Terms & Conditions

  • For Two Adults & Two Children (both under 12 years) rooming together, the 1st child will have to pay "Child with Bed" price and the 2nd Child will pay "Child Without Bed" price.
  • Child without a bed is an individual under 12 years of age sharing the room with 2 full paying adults and without a bed/cot.
  • In the case of 3 Adults OR 2 Adults + 2 Children OR 2 Adults + 1 Child With Bed in a room, 2 Queen sized beds will be provided.
  • Maximum 3 adults are allowed per room. Additional supplements on account of fuel hikes and taxes as and when received would be applicable with immediate effect.
  • All meals mentioned in the itinerary are preset and a-la-carte is not possible. Any damages caused to the hotel room/coach during your stay shall be borne by the concerned passengers.
  • The company shall not accept any liability or responsibility for any damages, loss of baggage, loss, injury, accident, death, breakdown or irregularity which may occur in carrying out tour arrangements due to weather conditions, strikes, war, quarantine or any other cause whatsoever and all such loss or expense must be borne by the passengers.
  • The Management reserves the right to claim any additional expenses incurred due to delay or changes in schedules of train, airplane, bus, ship or any other services.
  • There are no refunds for any services i.e. meals, sightseeing etc. not utilized on your tour. For the convenience of our passengers, we will sometimes amend the itinerary. However, the services remain unchanged. The right to vary, amend, alter or withdraw any particular itinerary, departure or excursion rests entirely with the company.
  • Due to demand of a particular airline the in / out points may change. Services, however, will remain unchanged.itinerary often operates more than one coach per departure and on certain departures will operate in reverse direction.
  • The Tour Manager and driver will do their best to take you as close to the monuments as possible as because in some cities coaches are restricted. On certain days when certain attractions, monuments, museums etc are closed, the Tour Manager reserves the right to amend the itinerary /cancel the visit.
  • The Management reserves the right to withdraw this offer any time without assigning any reason whatsoever.
  • Any new offer launched with the same itinerary, inclusions or destinations will supersede this offer and this offer may not be valid any more. The tour price mentioned is applicable provided there are 20 full paying adults travelling on the tour departure.
  • If the mentioned group size is not met passengers will travel on a FIT basis. In such a case, a FIT supplement will apply & travel arrangements may change or passengers may be given an option to travel on alternate dates with prevailing surcharges. Services of a Cox and Kings Tour Manager or Local Representative or Local Guide will not be provided if the group size on a particular departure is below 15 full paying adults.
