The capital city of Kigali is clean, super-green and on-trend with plenty of cafes and hip restaurants. Columbia

This nation is so close to the equator so there aren't really seasons in the strictest sense of the word, however June is one of the best times to visit Columbia. Bogotá's high-altitude location in the central Andes makes for fairly pleasant weather to explore the city with frequent showers and cloudy skies, while Cartagena and the Caribbean coast is typically hot and humid. In southern Cali and the Cauca Valley, you can expect a tropical savanna climate and of course, Medellín's enjoys a perpetual springlike climate.

Cartagena draws the highest concentration of travelers with its international flights and its well-preserved UNESCO World Heritage city center calling to anyone who loves culture and Spanish-colonial history. We would suggest you later head east along the Caribbean coast to Santa Marta, Colombia's oldest city, and tack on a trip to the postcard-perfect beaches, jungles and indigenous ruins of Tayrona National Park. Further east is the surf village of Palomino, perfect for relaxing on the sand away from the mass crowds.

In the south of the country, you can start in Cali, in the Valle de Cauca, a metropolis known for being the global capital of salsa dancing. Afterwards head to the far south and visit the colonial city of Popayán, with its wide plazas, white-washed buildings, and old bridges. You're also near to the ancient archeological site of Tierradentro, which contains underground Pre-Columbian burial chambers decorated with motifs and which date from the 6th-10th century. June also kicks off whale-watching season on Colombia's Pacific coast. Head to the village of Nuiqui, to spot humpbacks on their migratory journey south or book a jungle adventure on the Amazon River.

Switzerland

Switzerland is extremely popular with tourists this time of the year as the June temperatures are comfortable, although it's still chilly in the mountain villages. However most people get confused about which destinations to visit in Switzerland- the answer is as many as you have time for. Head to the financial capital of the world at Zurich, enjoy Switzerland's outdoor and adventure sports capital Interlaken where you can go skiing in the winter
The summer is actually the wettest time of the year in this part of Europe, so it's best to keep your plans loose and schedule things like the Schilthorn cable car or the Jungfraujoch after you are in the area and know that it's going to be dry.
Another destination to visit in Switzerland is Lugano, an important business center, and also a town of parks and flowers, villas, and sacred buildings. With Mediterranean flair, Lugano offers all the advantages of a world-class city combined with the air of a small town.
Enjoy the sights and activities available in Switzerland by riding a cable car up mountains for sunny panoramas of lake, rivers, mountains, and red-roofed buildings. Explore the cities and towns with their churches, cathedrals, and many other historical buildings.

Croatia

Historic cities and unspoilt nature are some of Croatia's top attractions. The vibrant capital city of Zagreb is home to some of the country's best museums, galleries, restaurants, and shopping. Along the coast, centuries-old harbor towns are packed with Venetian-era stone buildings, while countless pebble beaches offer things to do such as scuba diving, water skiing, and windsurfing. On the Adriatic, Croatia's blissful islands are a haven for yachters and those wanting to simply relax and enjoy the Mediterranean sunshine.
It is high season during June in Dubrovnik, Croatia's most glamorous tourist destination, centers on the magnificent old town, contained within sturdy medieval defensive walls and declared a UNESCO world heritage site. It is warm during June and any first-time sightseeing tour of the city should begin with a walk around the ramparts, which incorporate fortresses, towers, and cannons along the way. From high up on the walls, you can enjoy amazing views over the old town rooftops and out across the glistening Adriatic Sea.
And if you're on the search for adventure outdoors during the summer, Zadar is the perfect vacation destination. In this port city, the water is always stunning and offers many activities like boating, swimming, or kayaking. An obvious choice for our list of the best places to visit in Europe in June, it's impossible to become bored in this city. Check out Paklencia National Park for some great hiking, or walk through the Museum of Ancient Glass. China

Most people who visit China for the first time do it on a tour of some kind, to visit multiple cities on the trip. Beijing is obviously the starting point for most of these tours, and June is a very popular month for them. The main concern is the air quality in June in Beijing can be quite bad, so you really don't want to linger here more than a few days to see the highlights. You'll find that Beijing is still quite a bargain. You might have to pay more for a hotel or for restaurants where English is understood, but it will still be cheap compared to Europe or Singapore or Tokyo.
The second most popular Chinese city for tours is Shanghai, a far more modern city with striking architecture and an extremely impressive infrastructure. Along with the modern touches, Shanghai is also known among visitors for some interesting copy-cat neighborhoods that imitate great European and even American cities. The food here is also a main attraction, with a dizzying number of styles available, in addition to the traditional local fare.
Another popular destination in China is Xi'an. This 3,000-year-old city has been home to many of China's ruling emperors, and much of the history of the country as well. The main thing that most visitors come to see are the Terracotta Warriors, which are 20 km east of the city center.
Aside from admission to the Terracotta Warriors itself, most things here in Xi'an are cheaper than in Beijing and Shanghai.
Overall, travel in China can be more challenging if you don’t speak the language, even if many street sight are labelled in English, thus we suggest that a guided tour may be ideal for first-time visitors to China.

Morocco

From sweeping deserts to balmy beaches to mountains that may still retain snow from the previous winter, Morocco is a beautiful country that offers much to see and do. So if you’ve been planning your Moroccan escape, June might just be the month to spend some time in that wonderful sunshine.
With June being the first of the summer months, it’s a time of year when the kids are out of school, but temperatures are still reasonable in most parts of the country. In inland cities like Marrakech, the temperature can get a little higher than desired but its is still cooler than peak summertime in July and August. With proper planning, cool clothing, and a handy water bottle, you should find it easy to enjoy your explorations in most areas of the country.
To beat the heat, consider an adventure in the Rif Mountains, or cool off at the beach on either the Atlantic or Mediterranean coasts.
However it should be noted that June is not a good time to explore the Sahara Desert. You'll want to leave that particular journey for sometime between October and May, when temperatures are more moderate. It's also baking hot in Marrakech and pretty much everywhere in the country's south, so June is a good time to visit northern cities like Tangier and Rabat. If you have the time be sure to visit the Blue city of Morocco, Chefchaouen, which makes for a laidback holiday on the slopes on the Rif Mountains.

United Kingdom

The United Kingdom can be visited at any time of year but June when a late spring is turning to summer is ideal for those not looking forward to the cold. At these times you’ll see beautiful spring flowers or the leaves changing hue in autumn, and avoid the much busier peak summer tourist crowds. Even the highest temperatures that are experienced in the summer, rarely rise above 30°C. It is shoulder-season and travelers usually enjoy smaller crowds, better room availability, and the full range of sights and tourist fun spots, including London's Chelsea Flower Show in May and the Trooping of the Colour pageantry in June. Even in the peak of summer, however, sunny weather is far from guaranteed especially in Scotland's damp and chilly climate — you may do just as well in shoulder season. And various Highland Games are held across Scotland in this time.
A visit to London, the nation's sprawling capital is a must as it boasts plenty of attractions to keep you busy. For those interested in learning more about the UK's rich history, one of the top things to do in London is visit the Tower of London. Located beside the spectacular Tower Bridge on the banks of the River Thames, this former palace and prison includes highlights such as the iconic 1,000-year-old White Tower, with its fascinating displays of armor and weaponry, and the Jewel House, home to the Crown Jewels. Fans of Britain's Royal Family will want to head to Buckingham Palace, London's Royal home since Queen Victoria's reign. Here, you can enjoy the colorful pomp of the Changing of the Guard or even take a tour of the Palace's State Rooms.
The city's Whitehall Road area is another must, where you'll find Big Ben and the Parliament Buildings, as well as Westminster Abbey, scene of many a royal wedding. Another area to visit in London is South Kensington, home to the city's best museums, including the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Natural History Museum, as well as the famous Harrods department store. Also check out Trafalgar Square, home to iconic Nelson's Column and the National Portrait Gallery.
Head out to the countryside to explore UK’s many other must visit destinations including Edinburg, Windsor, The Lake Districts, Isle of Skye, Ancient Stonehenge, Medieval Salisbury, the beautiful University Towns of Oxford and Cambridge. A tour of the towns of Liverpool and Manchester before heading into the English Countryside will make for a comprehensive holiday in the UK.
