DAY 03 THU. El Cairo- Abu Simbel- Aswan.-
Transfer to the airport first thing in the morning to take a regular flight (flight included) for ASWAN. Land transfer to ABU SIMBEL. Lunch included. Visit to the temples that were dug out of the rock during the reign of the pharaoh Ramses II in the thirteenth century BC as a monument to the pharaoh and his wife Nefertari. They served to commemorate his supposed victory at the Battle of Kadesh and to demonstrate his power to the neighbouring Nubians. Later we will attend the show of light and sound before returning by land to ASWAN and accommodation.

NB: There is a chance that the night of accommodation in the hotel in Aswan may be replaced by a night on board the boat, for greater passenger comfort and without this affecting the price of the circuit.

DAY 04 FRI. Aswan.-
Breakfast. Visit to Aswan Dam, Temple of Philae dedicated to the goddess Isis and located on the island of Agilkia. Embarkation and lunch included. In the afternoon, a felucca cruise on the Nile for a panoramic view of the mausoleum of Aga Khan, of the Elephantine Island and the Botanical Gardens. Dinner included. Night on board.

Continuation to EDFU. The transfer from the boat to the temple will be by horse-drawn carriage. Visit to the Temple of Edfu, where we will see the marvellous construction dedicated to the God Horus (God represented by a Falcon), which in the past was partially covered by lime during the periodic flooding of the river Nile. The rescue and restoration work complete, we now have one of the most beautiful temples of Ptolemaic times, in an exceptional state of preservation. Night on board.

NB: Depending on the time the boat leaves Aswan, the temple of Edfu may be visited in the afternoon or the following morning.
