Day 1: Luang Prabang

Upon arrival at Luang Prabang, your local guide will welcome you at airport, transfer to your hotel where a welcome drink will be served. Check in your room. If time permit is head for an orientation tour of the town by tuk-tuk. Climb up Phousy Hill for a panoramic view of the city & the Mekong River. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 2: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Caves – Luang Prabang

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning embark to the local pier of Luang Prabang for a traditional boat and cruise upstream on the Mekong River to visit the sacred Buddha Caves. On the way stop at Thin Hong a picturesque village to get a glimpse of daily life. Visit Tham Ting and Tham Phoum caves in which you find hundreds of Buddha statues. Lunch on board.

Return to Luang Prabang by boat. On the way back visit of the Royal Palace Museum housing the most important treasures of Laos’ recent past, continue to Vat Xieng Thong at the tip of the peninsula.

The oldest and most beautiful temple of the UNESCO World heritage town dates back from the 16th century. The roof sweep low to the ground and glass colored panels adorn the walls of the chapels; see the residential neighborhoods of the peninsular. The last visit will be at Wat Mai. Dinner at Elephant restaurant.

Day 3: Luang Prabang – Kuangsi – Luang Prabang:

Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion by car to Kuangsi waterfall 32 km to the west of Luang Prabang. Short walk through the forest to the waterfall. After enjoying the scenery, take a swim in one of the nearby clear pools. See the Asian bear sanctuary. Picnic lunch at Kuangsi. Return to Luang Prabang, afternoon at leisure.

Day 4: Luang Prabang – Vang Vieng

Early morning, during sunrise, participate in the Tagbat ceremony, the monks’ alms offering. This ritual is an important part of Lao people’s life and offers a memorable experience & great snapshots. Your guide will explain how to follow the strict customs & rules involved. After the ceremony you will visit the fresh local market. Return to your hotel for breakfast.

After breakfast at the hotel, leave to Vang Vieng, along the mountainous road with beautiful panorama views. Make a stop at Phatang (17 km north of Vang Vieng). From the village temple you will get an outstanding view over the mountains. Lunch at a local restaurant.

Arrive at Vang Vieng famous for its beautiful landscape and limestone karsts. Take a small boat on Nam Song River amid beautiful scenery before visiting Tham Chang cave with its stunning view over the valley. Transfer to your hotel for check-in. Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 5: Vang Vieng -Vientiane

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Vientiane; leave the karstic mountains for the rich plain of the Mekong. Arrive in the capital at lunchtime. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon visit Vientiane, the capital of Laos: Vat Wat Si Saket, the oldest & most beautiful temple of Vientiane, Ho Prakeo, a royal temple turned museum. Visit Pha That Luang Stupa, the most revered shrine in Laos & stop at Patouxay (the Arch of Triumph). Transfer to your hotel for check-in.

Dinner at Kualao restaurant.

Day 6: Vientiane

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for your flight to your next destination. (B)
