Day 1: Salzburg:

Arrive at the airport. Transfer to your hotel and check-in. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Mozart City Tour:

Breakfast at the hotel. For all Mozart Lovers follow the traces of Mozart and learn more about the historical background of this world famous composer and his native town. Tour the city of Salzburg a superb blend of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architectural master pieces, built by famous artists over the past centuries and therefore listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Little has changed architecturally since Mozart´s time, so join us on a time travel through a city where he spent most of his life and being inspired for many of his works. Learn more about the Salzburg Cathedral, the Festival District, St. Peters or the famous Mozart Birthplace in the Getreidegasse. See the summer residence of Archbishop Markus Sittikus Hellbrunn Palace. The tour will also take you to Leopoldskron Palace for a photo stop and pass by Frohnburg Palace both locations used in the movie “The Sound of Music”. After the 1.5 hours informative tour we will drop you off at Mozart’s Residence where you will enjoy free admission to the Mozart Museum experiencing the fascinating world of the Mozart family. The rest of the day will be free to explore on your own or do some shopping. Overnight at the hotel

Day 3: Original Sound of Music Tour:

Breakfast at the hotel. Come and join wonderful ride with breath-taking views! Tour the picturesque World Heritage City of Salzburg as well as the beautiful landscapes where the opening scenes of the movie The Sound of Music were filmed with guide! The enormous success of The Sound of Music Broadway Musical by Rodgers & Hammerstein premiering in 1959 caused film director Robert Wise and 250 crew members to turn Salzburg and its surroundings into Sound of Music film location in 1964. And it was Salzburg Panorama Tours taking the Sound of Music film crew to the various locations where the famous movie was filmed. Right after release, the film became a tremendous success, awarded with 5 Oscars becoming the highest grossing movie ever and reaching cult status over the years. Both, musical and film are based on the “The Story of the Trapp Family Singers” written by Maria von Trapp in 1949. Do follow the traces of the Trapp family and take a tour through Salzburg and its surroundings. Visit all of the original film settings and just imagine being Julie Andrews, the main character in the film, playing Maria von Trapp. Learn about the historical and architectural landmarks of Salzburg as well as the Lake District while enjoying the highlights of the movie. Relax and listen to the Original Sound of Music soundtrack and of course feel free to sing-along Edelweiss and many more… Guide will tell you everything you need to know about The Sound of Music, the Trapp Familiy, the film locations and about the shooting.
